Day 15 (Dec 15/688KM) Lodging in the auditorium

Lodge in Kyela near Malawi Border
Ready for the road
We set off disappointed about using the same route back home and as any biker would tell you that is not so exciting. We rode hard all the way to the Tanzania/Zambia  border (Nakonde) and when we got to the border and as our luck would have it, they were introducing a new finger identification system and the officials were yet to master the system. With a bit of charm we were able to conduct our border formalities in the supervisors office and without paying a cent.
A view of Mbeya
Breakfast in Mbeya

Lunch time
Bikes also accommodated in the hall
We rode to Mpika, the place where we slept en route Dar. Unfortunately they were fully booked and we were offered to lodge in the auditorium. Because of the rain, we were not so keen to erect our tents outside.

Thendo still fast asleep when its time to get up and go
For some reason Tumi’s brother, Job, called him at 3h00am and they kept chatting about this that and the other including our trip WTF!? Fortunately Tumi has a lot of time for his siblings.
